Island Records band, CKY, whose confrontational approach to live performance, recording, and the search for truth has launched a revolutionary fanbase known as the CKY Alliance, will release their long-awaited 4th album on June 28th, entitled an Ånswer can be found. The new album was produced and mixed by guitarist Chad I Ginsburg. Impact dates and formats for the new album's lead track, "Familiar Realm," will be announced in the weeks ahead.
In advance of the album release, MTV2 will premiere CKY's A Very Special Special on May 27th where fans will have the chance to follow CKY backstage, on stage and everywhere else in between! CKY is threatening to commence a major North American tour this summer.

www.ckymusic.com by Ginsburg - has generated upwards of a half-million sales of CKY's various CDs and one DVD. Among these are their releases: CKY, Vol. 1 (June 2001); Infiltrate.Destroy.Rebuild (September 2002); and Infiltrate.Destroy.Rebuild: The Video Album (Deluxe Edition) (November 2003, DVD).
CKY comprises original founding members Deron Miller (vocals, guitar), Chad I Ginsburg (guitar, vocals), and Jess Margera (drums); a new bassist will be announced prior to the upcoming tour. From the Philadelphia suburb of West Chester, PA, Deron and Jess first met Chad when he was hired to record and produce their demo. Within that year, CKY was formed and by 1998 CKY was providing the slash-and-burn music for Bam Margera's skateboarding videos as well as their own films “Landspeed CKY, CKY2K, CKY 3, CKY 4 Latest & Greatest”, amongst numerous other skate soundtracks.
CKY's soundtrack excursions provided the basis for their debut album, Vol. 1, first issued in 1999 on Volcom Entertainment, who took CKY out on the Vans Warped Tour. After getting thrown off the '99 tour, the band somehow ended up on Warped Tour again in 2000, after releasing a new limited-edition indie EP, Disengage the Simulator. After talking with several major labels, CKY chose to sign to the Island Def Jam Music Group, who reissued Vol. 1 (re-mastered with enhanced video footage) in 2001.
Infiltrate.Destroy.Rebuild, CKY's first album for Island Def Jam, was released in September of 2002. True to their form, CKY made no compromise and continued to write, produce, and mix the album themselves. Fueled by the sweet sounds and vicious fury of CKY, as well as an opening slot on Metallica's homecoming SF show where they were personally invited by James Hetfield to perform, a supporting slot on the ill-fated Guns N' Roses tour, where they were personally invited by Axl Rose to perform, and their own multiple sold out headlining national tours, Infiltrate.Destroy.Rebuild, has sold over 250,000 copies to date.
The release of Infiltrate.Destroy.Rebuild: The Video Album (Deluxe Edition) nearly 18 months ago confirmed the band's visionary instincts. Produced on a shoe-string budget but professionally complex and masterly edited by Bam Margera, the DVD compiled videos for all ten tracks from Infiltrate.Destroy.Rebuild, plus two bonus videos from Vol. 1. Included was behind-the-scenes footage, audio commentary, raw footage not used for the videos, a photo gallery, and a new media component with a secret link to access exclusive web content. The first copies of the package included a bonus DVD titled CKY - Chopped and Sliced with three hours of footage and live performance filmed on their "Out on the Noose Again 03" tour.
