REVIEW: STEVE MONTGOMERY "ALONE IN A ROOM"
Steve Montgomery's "Alone In A Room" will take you back in time to when music told stories, and rock’n roll boys wrote the soundtrack for youth.
The CD is a blend of true rock, touched by the blues. The sounds are in the immortal ways of the great founding fathers of modern rock. The lyrics sing stories of love, and of love lost, in true Bruce Springsteen fashion.
Great traditional rock vocals are complemented perfectly by story telling lyrics. The tracks possess superior instrumentals. The entire album brags of the talent of singer, songwriter, and producer: Steve Montgomery.
Steve Montgomery shows his true music range, from true traditional rock melodies of "Forever Tonight," to the eclectic instrument choices that make "Anything You Want" an unexpected treasure. "Sorry Eyes" use of a slight Caribbean feeling, and an amazing use of the electric guitar, makes any listener feel like they’re in a packed stadium with thousands of fans rocking out to Steve Montgomery.
"Alone In A Room" is a CD you simply must have in your room. Steve Montgomery reminds you what true rock is supposed to sound like. Accept no imitations, this is the real thing!

Hailing from Nelson BC Canada, Steve Montgomery takes the term 'one-man-band', to a techno-logical conclusion! He keeps his edge by occasionally rocking the local area fronting "Three Chords and Dirty" a local PowerRock trio. In 2002, Steve composed and produced a music soundtrack for a BRAVO! TV music video called, "The Muse: Chameleon/Fire" which is still airing. Steve's musical influences include Tom Petty, The Beatles, BTO, Rush, The Guess Who, Grand Funk, Foghat, April Wine, Bryan Adams, Tom Cochrane, Kim Mitchell, The Eagles, Deep Purple, Eric Clapton, Ronnie Montrose, Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Lenny Kravitz, Stevie Ray Vaughn, BB King, Melvin James, Howard Jones, Paul Young, and many more, but he owes the most inspiration to the late great Nelson blues legend, Bobby Stewart. Steve's SkipRock MultiMedia is an audio production facility that specializes in music soundtrack composition for video, TV, Web, CD, or Film.
